Privacy Policy
LicenseLab ("we", "us") makes the LicenseLab study app for iPhone and Android and this website. We collect as little as possible. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
What we collect
- Your study progress (which questions you answered and whether correctly) is stored only on your device. You can erase it any time in the app (Settings → Reset progress) or by deleting the app. We do not have accounts and do not ask for your name or email.
- Votes for future licenses and states, sent with a random identifier created by the app, not linked to you.
- Translation error reports you choose to submit (question number and language), not linked to you.
- Purchases and free trials are handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). The app checks with the store on your device whether a subscription is active. We never see your card, payment details, Apple ID or Google account.
- Support emails you send us.
How we use it
Only to run the app: unlock what you paid for, answer support requests, fix questions and translations, and decide which licenses to build next.
Where it is stored
Our server runs on Cloudflare in the United States. Data is sent over encrypted connections.
How long we keep it
Votes and reports are kept while they are useful for improving the app; they cannot be used to identify you. Support emails are kept as long as needed to help you. You can ask us to delete any email correspondence.
Children
LicenseLab is meant for adults preparing for professional license exams and is not directed at children under 13.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. California residents have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to delete. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
